yes. FAE optimization is an optional task if performance of the FAE is not sufficient.
This is independent of the database. In many cases a join is fastter than an FAE and
this is again independent of the database. The note 1662726 just mentions one
possibilty that might be take if the performance of the FAE is not sufficient. The
hint mentioned there IS specific for SAP HANA.
During our migrations to HANA the FAE didn't got a specia tretment. We only
took action IF it popped up during our analysis (like we did on the DB we used
before we migrated to SAP HANA.
